Adivasi youth left corporate jobe to work for her own people

The young and talented Adivasi youth from the Jharkhand state has quitted
 high profile jobs overseas to work for her own Adivasi people. Nitisha Besra,
 daughter of Jharkhand Peoples Party (JPP) leader and writer of Santhali
 version of Geetanjali Suraj Singh Besra is an example.
Nitisha Besra joined Prime Minister’s Rural Development Fellow (PMRDF) 
for East Singhbhum district in Jharkhand after junking away careers in France
Nitisha left her job as an oil field engineer in French company Sphlum Berger
 with a salary of `18 lakh after just one and half years
“Money-wise and prospect-wise, my job in France was lucrative but money is
 not all in life, satisfaction is more crucial. I was always keen on rural
 development sector and public service in Jharkhand. PMRDF would give me 
the opportunity to do something meaningful for common people, my own 
people,” said Nitisha, a B-Tech graduate from IIT Kanpur.
“She is mature and I am happy she has chosen to work among her own people.
 I will be cooperate and assist her as much as possible,” a proud 
Suraj Singh Besra said.
Nitisha Besra will be drawing a monthly salary of Rs 65, 000 as PMRDFs.

Many many thanks to India Resists group to highlight the matter of injustice to the Adivasi (Schedule Tribe)/ Schedule Caste and Other Backward Class Students in admission to Presidency University, Kolkata. Not a single media has highlighted this issue other than you. But you have proven yourself exception. Let’s see what action the authority of Presidency University are doing to give justice to ST/SC and OBC students.
